P3 Recognizes Deserving Students and a Teacher

P3 Honors an Independance High School Tradition
P3 Luncheon

There is a tradition at Independence High School to recognize student growth with the P3 Student Stretch Award. With the help of the IHS staff, the Patriot Pride Club (P3) was looking for students who had really “stretched” themselves during their high school career; that is, a student who had turned things around by making noticeable improvement in the areas of attitude, achievement, attendance, or school participation. Finalists for the Stretch Award had to be students who exhibited "Patriot Pride" in all of their classes. The winner and a friend would then be driven to lunch in a Stretch Limo during the final week of school (it's the Stretch Award after all).

In addition to the Stretch Award, students were asked to recognize a teacher for the Golden Rule Award for hard work and specific attention to student achievement.

The Stretch Award Recipients for 2015-2016 are:

Jarrod McIntosh

Isaac Antunez

Alyssa San Miguel

The 2016 Golden Rule Award Recipient is:

Phuong Kieu

On Wed, May 25, 2016, the award recipients were invited to be chauffeured in a stretch limousine to Chase Field to have lunch at Fridays Front Row Grill courtesy of the Patriot Pride Club.

Congratulations to this year’s P3 Stretch Award and the Golden Rule Award winners!
