MONDAY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Career Center (A. Moore; 1/38-2/08)

Seniors, if you have decided where you will be attending college, please let your counselor know or visit Ms. Moore in the Career Center and share this information. You will receive an award for this information. Again, if you have selected a college or have scholarship information please let Ms. Moore or your counselor know this information so you can receive your award.

Media Center (Ehrick; 02/03)

Today marks the beginning of the Readathon. Several students have agreed to read as much as 200 pages before Feb 14th. So make sure to cheer them on. To celebrate the Readathon, we have several events this week. Today, you can learn how to make friendship bracelets at both lunches and after school. Supplies are provided. Staff, students, and faculty are invited to attend.  

Softball (Wyatt; 02/03)

Attention! All girls interested in playing softball, tryouts are February 10th at 3:30 on the varsity softball field. Make sure you are on time!

Voter Registry (Blankenship, Mandile, Rubio, Shepard; 1/31)

Attention; Wednesday February 5th IHS in coordination with Maricopa County will be holding a voter registration drive during both Lunches. All students who will turn 18 on or before November 3rd, 2020 are eligible to preregister or register to vote. In order to sign up Students will need one of the following, an Arizona Drivers license, AZ State ID card, Tribal ID, birth certificate or a passport.

In 2016 national Voter Turnout was just 61% or eligible voters, remember voting is your civic duty, the Varsity Social Studies club here at IHS would like to help increase  voter turnout for the November 2020 Election, if able please bring your proper Identification on February the 5th and GET REGISTERED!

Shane’s Rib Shack (Marshall; 02/03)

Everybody loves Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips for $5.00.

Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors: ASU will be here this Wednesday for a presentation about 2 amazing summer programs that they are offering. Learn about Barrett Summer Scholars and The Cesar Chavez Leadership Institute. Come to the Mini Auditorium at 2:40 pm to find out how to apply.

Interact will be cutting yarn and helping with Magic Yarn Makers. Magic Yarn Makers creates Disney Princess wigs for little girls who are battling cancer. Come join us to help this worthy cause.  We are

also taking our club yearbook picture on Wednesday, so please wear your club shirts that day!

Elevate I.H.S. (Surge on Campus) will be having a meeting Wednesday morning at 8:20am by the flag pole.   ALL current Elevate I.H.S current MEMBERS and anyone interested is encouraged to come and join us. Donuts and Juice will be provided!!! Remember you are loved!!!!
