Senior Class (Marshall; 02/19-02/25)

Calling Class of 2020 Senior panoramic will be taken on Wednesday, Feb 26th in the main gym—you must arrive before 8:15 am to guarantee a spot in the picture. For your convenience, you may ORDER your pictures by going to gradsphotography.com. Please note that school dress code will be in effect.  If you have any questions, please call Grads Photography at 623.580.4723.

Attention boys’ basketball players.  We are having our banquet Friday March 6th at 6pm in the cafeteria.  Please come by Coach Maragh’s room for information on what to bring to the banquet.

Shane’s Rib Shack (Marshall; 02/21)

Everybody loves Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips for $5.00.

DECA (Munoz; 02/25)

Congratulations to Sophomores Jenny Nguyen and Gabriel Vega. As a team, they won 5th place in their event, Marketing Management Team Decision Making, at the DECA State Career Development Conference this past weekend. Jenny and Gabriel have earned a trip to the 2020 DECA International Career Development Conference which is being held in Nashville, TN from April 29 through May 2nd.  The Independence DECA Chapter sent 12 IHS students to the DECA State Career Development Conference this weekend. In addition to Team Nguyen/Vega now headed to ICDC, the Chapter is proud to have earned Diamond Society Gold Level status and is bringing back an affiliation banner for our campus. Other team members who represented IHS DECA include: Laura Cabrera, Pamela Chong, Emily Romero, Sophia Strike, Isaiah Sanchez, Hayley Lopez, Maggie Luna, Francisco Hernandez, Aileen Munguia and Jada Dennis.

The IHS Choir program is selling Mrs. Fields cookies. They come in a variety of flavors and have 32 pre-portioned cookies in a box for only $16. Cookies will be delivered, frozen, on April 1st. All orders and payment are due this Friday. Please contact a choir member or Ms. Merrill for more information.

Prom Tickets will be going on sale and if you have more than a $6.00 fine on your account, you WILL NOT be able to purchase the tickets until all the BOOKS, MONEY OR ITEMS ARE returned.  REMEMBER you must have your ID to purchase the ticket.  If you have any questions, just come to the bookstore.

Prom Guest forms are now available in the Attendance Office.  You must purchase your ticket and guest ticket at the same time. They are due back by Friday, April 3rd NO EXCEPTIONS.  Must have Passing Grade to be approved.

Again, the Young Environmentalist’s Club & Jr. ROTC recycling partners would like to invite you to join them after school TOMORROW (2/26) / TODAY (2/27) at 2:45 pm in Room G-11.  ALL current Young Environmentalist’s & Jr. ROTC volunteers NEED to come in order to get some extremely EASY community service hours helping “Recycle” our beautiful Patriot Nation. No experience necessary!
