Culinary (Ingram; 10/29)

The Culinary arts students will be selling Halloween decorated cookies and cupcakes on Wednesday October 30th during both lunches in the Mall area. Everything is 2/1.00

Media Center (Ehrick; 10/29)

Attention Patriots,

The ghost story contest winners have been selected! Come join us as we listen to their podcast, tell ghost stories, and eat s’mores on Halloween after school in the media center.  Bring your friends! See Mrs. Ehrick in the media center for more details

Photo Club Meeting (Kerr; 10/29- 10/30)

Attention all freshmen and sophomore nominated to go to ANYTOWN: Please turn in your permission slips and money as soon as possible.

If you were nominated but did not receive a yellow packet, please stop by room 228 before or after school. For any questions, please see Mr. Carreon in room 228

Wrestling (Cumpton; 10/30- 11/1)

Winter is coming, and the wrestling season is coming with it!  This is the first year ever for a separate girl’s team and we need more lady Patriots to help make history.  All guys and girls that are interested, make sure to get cleared, and head up to the wrestling room behind the bleachers in the main gym on Monday at 3:30.  See you there!

Girls Badminton Team Pictures (Kerr; 10/31- 11/1)

Attention girls badminton players: If you ordered pictures this year, they are now ready for pickup. Please stop by room #207 upstairs in the media center before or after school to pickup your order.

Young Environmentalist’s Club (Bolton, Kieu; 10/31)

The Young Environmentalist’s Club would like to send a very special SHOUT out to ALL those Volunteers that did a SUPERB job last Thursday after school!  They succeeded in making Independence a “cleaner” and “recycled” community!

No trick, Y.E.C. will receive “treats” TODAY after school at 2:45 pm in Room G-11 so join current Young Environmentalist’s & Jr. ROTC in getting community service credit while helping “Recycle” Patriot Nation. No experience required!

Shane’s Rib Shack (Marshall; 11/1)

Everybody loves Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips for $5.00.

Swim and Dive (Hallum; 11/1)

 The swim and dive team had a great showing yesterday at the first round of the District Championships.  5 relay teams and 14 individual swimmers qualified to compete in the finals this evening including; Diana Lizarraga, Ashley Morales, Ian Amaya, Guillermo Cazarez, and Herman Granados who will all be swimming in championship races.  If you see a swimmer, congratulate them on a great first round and show them your support for tonight's finals.
