Center/Counseling (Trezza, Moore; 02/10-2/21)

Seniors, if you have decided where you will be attending college, please let Ms. Moore know in the Career Center. Also, please visit the Career Center and print out any scholarship and/or financial aid information you receive in your college accounts! By giving us this information, it ensures that you may be recognized at our Evening of Excellence awards night in May.

Hiking Club (Chandler, Mitchell; 02/13-02/18)

Patriots: Do you need a break from the stress of school work? Do you want to enjoy some time in the great outdoors? Then we have the perfect place for you! Come join the IHS Hiking Club! Come to the meeting on Wednesday, February 19th at 8:20 in room 121. We will be discussing our next hiking trip to Piestewa Peak! If you would like to go on the trip, it is important that you attend the meeting for all the details. See Ms. Chandler or Ms. Mitchell if you have any questions. Remember: Hike More… Worry Less!

ASU will be in the Career Center both lunches today for an Admitted Student Workshop. If you are admitted to ASU please come the Career Center on your lunch for this workshop. See you there!

Athletics (Marquez; 02/18-02/21)

All winter athletes must have their athletic lockers cleaned out by the end of the school day on Friday the 21st. If there is anything left in the lockers after then, it will be thrown out!

Has Hot Coffee, Hot Chocolate, Iced Coffee and More, On Sale upstairs across from the Career Center, every Wednesday Morning from 8 am to 8:55 am.

All winter athletes must have their athletic lockers cleaned out by the end of the school day on Friday the 21st. If there is anything left in the lockers after then, it will be thrown out!

Calling Class of 2020 Senior panoramic will be taken on Wednesday, Feb 26th in the main gym—you must arrive before 8:15 am to guarantee a spot in the picture. For your convenience, you may ORDER your pictures by going to gradsphotography.com. Please note that school dress code will be in effect.  If you have any questions, please call Grads Photography at 623.580.4723.

Y.E.C (Bolton, Kieu; 02/19-02/20)

Again, the Young Environmentalist’s Club & Jr. ROTC recycling partners would like to invite you to join them after school TOMORROW (2/19) / TODAY (2/20) at 2:45 pm in Room G-11.  ALL current Young Environmentalist’s & Jr. ROTC volunteers NEED to come in order to get some extremely EASY community service hours helping “Recycle” our beautiful Patriot Nation. No experience necessary!

Seniors: If you are going to college, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (otherwise known as the FAFSA). This is how you qualify for free money! If you have not started or need help completing the FAFSA, Independence staff will be available to help you and your parents this Saturday, February 22nd from 10-1:00 in the Media Center. Get FAFSA help and the chance to win prizes

Everybody loves Barbeque and Shane’s Rib Shack will be here every Monday to bring you’re their tasty barbeque. You will have the option to purchase a shredded barbeque sandwich or buffalo chicken strips for $5.00.
