Prerequisites: interest, motivation, knowledge of basic computer operation, and an ability to work maturely and independently with technology and in a studio setting
Course Description:
Graphic Arts1-2 is an introduction to digital imaging and computer-based art. Students will explore different avenues of visual communication, self-expression, and creative problem-solving through the creation of commercial, interactive, and fine art. All work is based upon the study, aesthetics, purpose, and criticism of digital art forms.
Schedule of Topics/Units Covered:
1st Quarter: Learn the basics of Illustrator and be able to use PowerPoint to present finished work.
2nd Quarter: Learn more advanced techniques in Illustrator and the basics of
Photoshop
3rd Quarter: Learn more advanced techniques in PhotoShop in combination with Illustrator.
4th Quarter: Apply knowledge to the final project and complete a digital portfolio of class work.
Supplemental Resources:
This class will make extensive use of on-line resources, magazines, and books pertaining to graphic arts.
Scores are calculated into percentages which carry the following grades:
A = 90-100% B = 80 – 89% C = 70 – 79% D = 60 – 69% F = 0 – 59%

Course Description:
Drafting & design is an introduction to Board Drafting learning how to use drafting tools, dimensioning, orthographic projection, multiview projection. Students will learn different avenues of computer aide communication. AutoCad, Revit, and Solidworks

1st Quarter: Learn the basics of board drafting.
2nd Quarter: Learn more advance techniques in AutoCad.
3rd Quarter: work with Solidworks
4th Quarter: Apply Knowledge to final projects, create a portfolio of all class work.
