Tuesday, April 1st is a state testing day at Independence High School. Freshmen and Juniors will be on campus testing. There is no school that day for Sophomores or Seniors.

All 9th and 11th grade students will need to be at school, on time, by 8:00 a.m. sharp in order to begin testing. Students arriving late WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to test.

Freshmen will be dismissed at 2:35. Most juniors will be dismissed at 1:40 (bus riders will remain on campus until 2:35). Any students taking the extended version of the ACT exam will be dismissed at 3:00.

Buses will run at their normally scheduled times.

Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest, brings a water bottle and has their chrome book charged and ready to go.

Parents, please know that the test proctors will be collecting phones and smart watches prior to the test. All electronics will be securely stored in a locked cabinet/drawer. This is to preserve the security of the testing environment. PLEASE TALK WITH YOUR CHILD ABOUT THIS.
