Our class time will be spent working on general education class assignments and projects. In addition, we will work on transition activities related to the requirements of the students IEP.
Students are already working in many of their classes and have work to complete. Please ask to view their student planners they should be using to note what assignments they need to complete. I will be stressing the use of this planner throughout the year and it will be part of the materials checks I do on a random basis.
Please contact me if you have any concerns or questions. I do weekly grade checks that come home on Fridays for parents to sign, if I do not see them returned after three consecutive weeks, the student will call home from the classroom to alert you to his grade reports that still need to be signed and returned for credit for Resource class.
I am looking forward to a successful year for your student if we all work together.
