I currently teach dance full time here at Independence High School.  My philosophy of being in dance class is to develop the creative and artistic side of each individual student.  Dance is a way for students to express their emotions and creativity.  Students will follow  SKILLS FOR LIFE, which are easy concepts to follow.  They are:  TRUTH, TRUST, RESPECT, PERSONAL BEST,  and  ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT.  If students follow these easy rules, they will be disciplined and ready for not only having a fun and successful year in dance, but be able to accomplish anything they set their minds to in their everyday life.  I encourage kids to practice hard, work hard, be considerate to their peers and have fun expressing themselves.
