Charleen Denny

I am a graduate of Glendale High School and graduated Summa Cume Laude from Arizona State University.  I began working at IHS in 2001 as an instructional aide while attending ASU.  This is my 4th year teaching language arts at Independence. 

I currently teach English 3-4 and 7-8 here at Independence High School. 

The goal for sophomore English is to be proficient readers and writers in order to pass the AIMS test the first time. 

In senior English, students will complete an extensive research project as well as prepare for the district assessment over literary analysis. 

In addition to teaching, this is my 3rd year coaching Spiritline with Susan Hadley.
