Arizona’s Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) is a Standards Based Assessment.  AIMS measures student proficiency of the Arizona Academic Content Standards in Writing, Reading, Mathematics, and Science and is required by state and federal law.

AIMS is taken in the Spring of the Sophomore year.  Students can take AIMS again in the Fall and Spring of the Junior and Senior years.

AIMS FALL TEST DATES:
·         Writing – Tuesday, October 23, 2012
·         Reading – Wednesday, October 24, 2012
·         Mathematics – Thursday, October 25, 2012


AIMS SPRING TEST DATES:
·         Writing – Monday, February 25, 2013
·         Reading – Tuesday, February 26, 2013
·         Mathematics – Tuesday, April 9, 2013
·         Science – Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Passing AIMS with a Meets or Exceeds score is a requirement for graduation from Glendale Union High School District.
